It was election day in the UK yesterday. I am not someone who likes arguments a lot, I try to avoid them when possible. However, I love political debate. In my exam yesterday, and at the university radio awards tonight, I turned everything (including the colour of my tie) in to a party political.

A couple of weeks ago I came across the ‘Vote for Policies’ website… you go on the site, select some policies and it then tells you which political party you should vote for.

NUS Votes to “Oppose UKIP”

I am no fan of the National Union of Students – and I am even less of a fan now that they have taken the absurd decision to “openly oppose” UKIP.

Cheltenham Literature Festival 2013: Cheltenham Decides: Is It Time to Leave the European Union?

Last night I went to a debate on the European Union at the Cheltenham Literature Festival. UKIP leader Nigel Farage, Cheltenham MP Martin Horwood, The Times Berlin Correspondent David Charter, and The Times columnist Oliver Kamm were discussing the issue of leaving the EU, and what effect this would have on Britain.
