Snowy Cirencester

When I woke up this morning there was a lot of snow outside. Although I had no plans to travel, on a Sunday I normally go up to Worcester visiting relatives, but that went out the window this weekend.

Snow Comes to Cirencester

Cirencester woke up to a little snow yesterday morning. Only a light dusting – it had all melted by the end of the day – but just enough that I was able to go outside to take a photo before going to work.

Over the last week, thousands of schools across the country have been closed due to severe snow and ice. Here in Gloucestershire, 296 out of 308 state-run primary, secondary schools and colleges were closed on Wednesday, with similar numbers on Friday.

Bad Weather for Greece

I have just been reading the Greek news and found that the National Meteorological Service is predicting that this weekend will see strong storms, snow on high ground and gale force winds in the open seas.
