I’ve made it an annual tradition since my first year of university: A visit to the Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May – and the Cheltenham Literature Festival in October.
Today has taken me to several places around the city. I really am making the most of my unlimited Athens travel pass. Although this does include the busses, I’ve yet to actually use them: the underground is more convenient.
Boxing Day has arrived – the Turkey has been eaten, and there is still lots of cheese left over. (I’ll have the smoked Applewood please).
This time next week, it will be Christmas Day – and I suspect the kitchen will be very busy as we get ready for Christmas Dinner, which we nearly always have in the evening.
This is my first (and last) blog post in what has been a very busy month. I write just hours before leaving for my annual holiday to Greece.

Last night was of course the annual Eurovision Song Contest, and this year’s event was held in Malmö (not the umlaut) after Sweden won last year.
I’m not one who normally goes out and spends my Friday night in a pub, but last night was an exception to the rule, as Berny and Michaela – or Ethemia – were playing at the Vaults in Cirencester.
With just 6 contestants left in ITV’s X Factor competition, I think I’d let you know who I’d like to win this year’s competition.
