A Tour of the German Parliament

After a quiet morning of doing not much other than strolling around the city, I had a busy afternoon today. I headed up to Platz der Republik to see the Reichstag building – home to the Deutsche Bundestag (the German Parliament).

Brandenburg Gate: A Walk in Central Berlin

I quite enjoyed being able to do something which you couldn’t have done 30 years ago: I walked through the Brandenburg Gate from East to West. Then I went back from West to East. Then back again from East to West.

Berlin 2015: The Night Before…

It’s arrived! The time has come for my visit to the German capital, Berlin. As I write, I am sitting in a hotel room near London’s Gatwick Airport, having eaten in the hotel’s restaurant following the drive down from Fairford.
