Andrew Easton (06/03/2013)
When I was on the rain up to Worcester earlier this afternoon I was listening to BBC Hereford & Worcester on my mobile.
Andrew Easton was on air with their Drivetime show, rounding up the day’s news.
In today’s programme Andrew was asking listeners about writing to important people, after Sir Mervyn King, the boss of the Bank of England, replied to a letter from a man who just wanted to get a new van but wasn’t able to as he was unable to get a loan. There were some interesting stories on this one.
Also today, the six jobs currently being advertised by Tourism Australia as ‘the best job in the world’. Fancy being a Park Ranger in Queensland, a Lifestyle Photographer in Victoria or a Taste Master in WA? The programme was launched yesterday and has already had several thousand applications!
There was also music from Mika, Josh Groban and Crowded House.
I enjoyed the programme; Andrew kept me entertained on my journey between Cheltenham and Crowle earlier. There was a good mix of news, music, chat with listeners and chat from guests and reporters.
Andrew Easton is on air every weekday from 16:00 to 19:00. BBC Hereford & Worcester is available on FM and AM across Herefordshire and Worcestershire (and will be available on DAB by the end of the year). Elsewhere, you can listen online at bbc.co.uk/bbcherefordandworcester.
