Website Statistics for March

I have been very late this month with the statistics – probably because the weather has been so good recently that I’ve been too busy to create lots of graphs!

Anyway – its now April and I’m on Easter holidays until 2 weeks today.

In March 2011 there were 2217 unique visitors.

There were 5953 visits, and an average of 2.68 visits per visitor.

Days of the Month

Last month, the day with the lowest number of visitors was March 30, with 149 visitors.

With the highest number of visitors, was March 2, with 245 in total.

You can view the full graph in .xlsx format.

International Hits

In March 2011 there were hits from 92 different countries.

The top 5 were: the UK, the USA, Germany, Russia and Brazil.

The bottom 5 were: Peru, Bosnia-Herzegovinia, Montenegro, Panama and Togo.

Most Viewed

The top 10 most viewed pages on this website in March 2011 were really no different to previous months. That Malcolm Laycock blog post has been appearing in this list since he left Radio 2! And obviously, the biggest news story which broke since the last set of statistics was the Japanese situation.

Search Terms

The top 10 search terms which resulted in someone visiting the site were:

  1. bbclocalradioblog
  2. Fred Hart
  3. Mcasso Jingles
  4. Newspaper stand
  5. The Sinking of the Laconia
  6. Das Leben der Anderen, guten morgen sonne
  7. BBC Radio 2
  8. Mcasso BBC Jingles
  9. Mankel Vallander serie de televisión*
  10. Hart Local Radio**

*A foreign search, looks like its for Henning Mankell’s Wallander series.

**Again, people can’t spell. This will be another listener to a certain commercial radio station, whose name I will not mention.

Lower down the list, I’ve got lots of variations on “What is the piano music used on Mark Cummings’ Breakfast Show on Radio Gloucester”… or “Thinking music BBC Radio Gloucestershire Mark Cummings”.

I’d assume some people want to know the name of the music used at about 6:50 each day, during the Pause for Thought/Thought for the Day feature (not sure what its called, but its roughly equivalent to these titles used by Radio 2/Radio 4 respectively).

More statistics next month. 🙂
